Project IV

This is my Project for class. I choose the song "Dad's Glad" by Blue Lit Moon. I chose this to remix because I loved the guitar. It was dark and when it switched up in the chorus it caught my attention.

mixstem - I chose Stem 3 because I liked the guitar. I felt like I could manipulate it by changing the pitch and tempo. I was actually unsuccessful changing the pitch but I tried! I sped the tempo up to 150 and added a drum kit with a pattern I felt like was appropriate for the grove. I used a kick, snare, clap, 2 high hat’s, and an open hat. The high hat and open hat really gives it the impression of double time.

Live - I used a live musician from the drummers in logic. I used mostly the same pattern. I added a crash and a Tom pattern.

Sfx - I added a recording I got on my phone from Texas Roadhouse the other day. Then I recorded
pencil scribbling. I want to make it as though it a cafe scene. Then I also recorded the sound of
traffic on a highway. I mixed the items down without eq’ing. I gave the restaurant noise reverb
and turned it down to fit it in my mix.
